Friday Finds #13 | HAY

Friday is here once again AND the weekend is round the corner! YAY! I hope you’ve enjoyed your week and have something nice planned for the next couple of days.

This weeks Friday Finds features Danish design company HAY.

HAY was founded by husband and wife team Rolf and Mette Hay. Since it’s launch in 2002, HAY has established itself as one of the up-and-coming furniture design firms in Denmark and beyond. HAY’s furniture fuses mid-century modern with contemporary design resulting in chairs, tables and accessories that are at once familiar and new.

The stackable Copenhague Chair was designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec as part of a collection for the University of Copenhagen.

I just LOVE the colourful and playful Kaleido Trays. Designed by Clara von Zweigbergk the series of trays can fit inside each other or together side by side – a bit like a puzzle.

I really like Hay’s oval metal Kutter candle holders. Designed by Peter Johansen, the minimal design holds both normal candles and tealights! Very cool!

Theses cool and colourful Ori salt and pepper mills, designed by Anderssen & Vol, will cheer up any dinner table.

I’m fascinated with the HAY’s Wooden Ruler collection. Combining old school nostalgia with modern colour, centimetres are represented as square boxes and millimetres as narrow lines. I wish rulers were as beautiful when I was at school!
