Dream House | Nursery

It’s been a wee while since I’ve made a Dream House post. With Baby McAleavy coming in just 12 short weeks, I’ve been searching for inspiration and have SO many ideas for the nursery. I thought I’d share a few of them with you. We thought there was no point buying nursery furniture at the moment, and have decided to wait until after Christmas, hoping for a bargain. I have my eye on the colourful Carnaby set from Mothercare, perfect for a boy or girl. Here are a few of my favourite spaces for baby:Dream House | Nursery | From City To SuburbsVia Chicdeco | This is such a simple, stylish room for baby. This is the Stokke SLEEPI cot/bed. Designed to grow with the child, it can be used from birth to approximately 10 years of age. I really like the idea of a cot/bed, which would save money long term and, I love the oval shape of this one, however the price tag is slightly out of our reach I’m afraid.

The Pirum Parum and Apple Papple posters from Swedish company Fine Little Day, are adorable for a childs bedroom.Dream House | Nursery | From City To SuburbsVia Show+Tell | Another ‘investment’ cot/bed is the Pod Cot from Australian company Ubabub. This modern cocoon-like cot is stunning with it’s smooth, rounded edges and transparent sides, giving the perfect view of baby at all times. Yet again, a tad too pricey for us.Dream House | Nursery | From City To SuburbsVia Chicdeco | I really love this quirky shelving system shaped like a tree – the perfect place to display favourite toys and books. I also really like the tactile elements of the room with the knitted pouffe and wool ball Pinocchio Rug.Dream House | Nursery | From City To SuburbsVia Coochicoos | How amazing is this Little Whales wallpaper from LA brand Pottok? It would look fantastic as a feature wall in the nursery if we decided to go for white nursery furniture.Dream House | Nursery | From City To SuburbsVia The Decor Fix | I just knew my Raskog trolley from Ikea would come in very handy – ideal for storing nappies, wipes and cotton wool.

Are you a mum? Or mum to be? What do you think of my ideas? Do you have any cool nursery ideas to share?
