About | From City To Suburbs
HELLO lovely readers! Welcome to From City To Suburbs! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Julie – textile designer, crafter, interior designer wannabe + foodie! This is where I share general life musings, my style, some recipes + the occasional craft project.

I live in Morningside, a wee place between Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland. I live with my husband Allan, a large cat called Py and dog called Roxy. I was a proper Glasgow city girl for over a decade, but have now absconded to the suburbs! When I reached the big 30, I left my wee city flat, got married and moved into a house with a garden…yes REALLY!

I started From City To Suburbs seeking a way to motivate myself to get healthy as well as sharing my love of fashion and style. This blog (and my list writing!) is also a way of dealing with acute memory problems, resulting from Epilepsy. My goal is to inform people about Epilepsy and get people talking in an effort to dispel old myths about the condition.

When I’m not blogging I work as a freelance knitwear designer. I graduated from Glasgow School of Art with a degree in textiles in 2011. Although a designer by heart, From City To Suburbs will give me the opportunity to explore other things I love; be it food, interiors, healthy living or LIFE!

  1. I am really glad that I found your blog, super lovely! We have very similar experience. I grow up in a big city and then married to a woods guy, now I finally get to live in a house with beautiful garden, no more Condo in the middle of the sky :)
